A unique opportunity has arisen to join a successful, fast growing, restaurant group in London. With a strong balance sheet, secured investment and exponential growth in recent years, the business is very well positioned to continue on its expansion path. There is now a necessity to bolster the finance function with an experienced and dynamic UK Financial Controller.

Job Description

The role provides the opportunity to take ownership of the finance function whilst contributing to the commercial and operational challenges in the business. Reporting into the Group Finance Director, you will have responsibility for managing all financial accounting and control requirements as well as initiating key improvements to enhance processes and systems. In addition, you will give commercial financial support on controls and infrastructure issues relating to the expansion of the business. The size of the company and speed of growth ensures that this is truly an ‘all round’ role giving exposure to a number of areas and requiring a real hands on and can do attitude.

Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will be an ambitious and capable qualified accountant who is both technically competent, and who can also demonstrate a strong commercial eye in order to influence operational decisions. You will possess first class communication skills and be able to manage relationships and business partner with colleagues at all levels of the business. In addition you will possess a strong understanding of processes and controls and will ideally have been instrumental in putting in and bedding down new controls and procedures in a fast growing company.
