Our client is a medium sized company with a diverse portfolio of businesses across the leisure and beauty industry in the UK. An opportunity has developed to join their finance team in a newly created role as the Management Accountant for a specific business unit. The role is paying £33,000 - £35,000 plus study support if required.

Job Description

Preparing monthly management reports including profit and loss and balance sheet
Preparing budgets and forecasts
General ledger maintenance
Payroll - collating information for head office and processing payroll journals as required
Detailed analysis of the payroll figures into management report
Ah hoc analysis and project work
Year end reporting and analysis
Review creditors report as required
Assist and cover with work load of other business units as required

Skills and Experience

AAT or Part Qualified or equivalent
Proven experience preparing management accounts
Solid experience of maintaining the general ledger
Excellent attention to detail
Excellent communication skills
Ability to head with people at all levels
Team player
Strong system skills including Excel
