Asset Management
Our client is a privately owned and growing financial advisory boutique in their specialist sector. In recent years they have developed an asset management offering to European investors and now have c. 1 billion euros AUM. The success of this venture means that they are now looking to hire a Head of Portfolio Operations to support the continued growth of the asset management function.
Description
Reporting to the Head of Asset Management, the Head of Portfolio Operations will be responsible for ongoing portfolio management for all projects, including cashflow analysis, quarterly valuations, and dividend/distribution payment co-ordination. You will prepare quarterly reports for company boards, monitor company financials, liquidity, accounting, and tax reporting, and lead on corporate governance requirements. You will need to manage relationships with multiple internal and external stakeholders, including investors, lenders, auditors and advisors. You will oversee the long-term build-up of the portfolio operations team and have one direct report. Our client is based in central London and are in the office four days per week.
Skills
The successful Head of Portfolio Operations will have at least five years of demonstrable experience in asset management/portfolio operations. A professional qualification such as the CFA or ACA is preferred but is not essential. However, applicants must have a high level of proficiency in MS Excel, with excellent financial modelling skills. A high level of numeracy is required, as are strong communication and management skills.
