Our client is an established global private equity firm based in Central London. An opportunity exists for an experienced Finance Manager to join the team on a 15-month contract covering maternity leave. Reporting to the Finance Director, this is an excellent opportunity to gain experience with a recognised industry leader. Starting in the next few weeks.
Description
The duties and responsibilities for this Interim Finance Manager role include, but are not limited to:
- Budgeting and forecasting; Consolidating MI, budgets, forecasts and long-term plans. Including assisting budget planning, collating departmental results, analysing variances, providing timely responses to queries, ensuring the deliverables timetable is met and maintaining stakeholder relationships.
- Month-end close: Oversee an efficient and effective month-end close process by reviewing and approving journals and reconciliations, ensuring that monthly accounts are reviewed and in order in a timely manner.
- Audit management: Managing the audit of three European entities.
- Service provider management involves working with the team and European service providers to deliver on schedule and provide timely responses to queries.
- Accounts payable oversight involves overseeing AP, including reviewing & approving invoices and settlement runs. Including working to optimise AP processes by utilising technology.
- Financial reporting compliance; Assisting with effective maintenance of appropriate and robust Financial Control environment across the European entities, spanning from process review and implementation, to reviewing monthly reconciliations and close documentation to maintain the integrity and accuracy of accounts.
- Team: Line manager for three members of staff.
- Process improvement; Assist in developing and improving internal systems and processes, particularly in forecasting, budgeting, and MI reporting.
Skills
The skills and experience required for this Interim Finance Manager role include, but are not limited to:
- Qualified Accountant (ideally Big 4 audit trained) with relevant post-qualified experience.
- Expertise in process review and improvement.
- Strong background in budgeting and forecasting.
- Experience of working in a large corporate group and managing numerous stakeholders. Previous team management experience is essential.
- Enjoys adding value through process improvement.
- Strong attention to detail and an excellent work ethic.
