Headquartered in London, our client is a private, long-term holding company with operations in the United States and Europe. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious accountant with at least three years of relevant post-qualified experience to join their finance team.
Description
Our client is a long-term investment and holding company with over £2bn AUM. They are looking for a qualified accountant with c. 3-4 years post-qualified experience in the private equity, venture capital, or asset management industries to join their team as a Group Financial Accountant. You will report to the Group Financial Controller and be a critical hire in support of the client’s continued growth and development of their finance function. You will be responsible for the preparation of the Group’s management accounts and consolidated financial statements, as well as taking a leading role in process improvement initiatives taking place across the Company. The successful candidate will work closely with deal teams to gather, evaluate, and consolidate operating results from investee companies for board reporting and investor communications, while supporting the finance aspects of transactions and responding to investor due diligence requests.
Skills
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ CA/ ACCA/ CIMA or equivalent) with at least 3 years post-qualified experience. You will need a strong technical knowledge of IFRS, UK GAAP, and US GAAP and good experience in the private equity or broader asset management industry. Group consolidation experience (or experience of auditing group companies) is essential, and good working knowledge of tax regulations is preferred. The successful candidate will have strong organisational, analytical, and communication skills.
