Our client, a global property group, is looking for a temporary Project Accountant to reconcile historical data between Cognos and Onestream as part of a systems transformation. The successful candidate will have experience with multi-currency consolidations and the ability to interpret complex financial data. This role requires an immediate start.
Description
The responsibilities of the Temporary Project Accountant include, but are not limited to:
- Reconciling historical data between Cognos and OneStream for management and statutory data.
- Supporting the testing and preparation of reporting from OneStream for management and statutory reporting purposes.
- Contributing to ad hoc analysis for statutory reporting disclosures and supporting the production of annual statutory accounts.
- Collaborating with the wider finance team to resolve any unreconciled items.
- Supporting the audit process, liaising with auditors and performing any required ad hoc analysis.
- Assisting with any ad hoc reporting for wider finance projects and general process improvements.
Skills
The skills of the Temporary Project Accountant include, but are not limited to:
- Recently qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with experience in the industry.
- Experience with multi-currency consolidations within large, complex structures, including the treatment of subsidiaries and joint ventures.
- Strong Excel skills (essential) and previous experience with OneStream or Cognos (desirable).
- Problem-solver with the ability to understand complex financial data.
- Proven experience in delivering process improvements.
- Ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines and be willing to help other teams during busy periods.
