Our client, a top-performing real estate fund management firm, is seeking a Temporary Financial Controller to cover maternity for a period of 8 months. The successful individual will have previous experience within property and thrive working in a broad and varied role as part of a close-knit team. This role requires an immediate start.
Description
The responsibilities of the Temporary Financial Controller include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible for quarterly and annual reporting, as well as bookkeeping.
- Ownership of budgeting and forecasting.
- Responsible for monthly management accounts.
- Oversee payment of invoices and management of bank accounts.
- Manage payroll, VAT and other tax obligations.
- Liaising with auditors.
- Loan covenant reporting.
- Management of investor communications.
- Treasury oversight.
- Ad hoc projects and assistance as required.
Skills
The skills of the Temporary Financial Controller include, but are not limited to:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Previous experience in a similar, broad role.
- Prior experience in the property sector.
- Strong Excel and systems experience. Previous exposure to Yardi would be highly advantageous.
- Strong communicator with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a close-knit team.
