Our client, a PE-backed global technology firm, is looking for a Temporary Finance Manager to join their London team for a period of 3-6 months. This is hands-on role supporting the Financial Controller in managing the annual audit, accounting for new acquisitions and overseeing transactional finance and treasury. The successful individual will have experience managing a finance team in a dynamic, PE-backed environment. The role requires an immediate start.

Description

The responsibilities of the Temporary Finance Manager include but are not limited to:

  • Overseeing the delivery of monthly management accounts in a timely manner.
  • Supporting year-end audit, assisting with the production of consolidated and subsidiary accounts and liaising with the relevant global audit teams.
  • Coordinating and responding to customer compliance matters in relation to vendor due diligence.
  • Driving system and process improvement to improve efficiency and reporting capabilities.
  • Overseeing accounts payable and receivable and payroll teams.
  • Managing and overseeing credit control and where necessary become involved in high value or old debt.
  • Maintaining and reviewing commission calculations alongside revenue accountant.
  • Assisting the annual budget and quarterly re-forecast process, working with the FP&A team.
  • Assisting the Group Financial Controller with the group’s external debt compliance.
  • Supporting group tax compliance and support treasury processes.
  • Ownership of the 13-week cashflow forecast.
  • Ad hoc projects as required by the business.

Skills

The skills of the Temporary Finance Manager include but are not limited to:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or similar) with relevant post qualification experience.
  • Experience working in a PE-backed business would be advantageous.
  • Previous experience in a leadership role including line management.
  • Background in implementing financial controls and strong governance.
  • Previous experience with subscription revenue models would be advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail and clear presentation skills.
  • Proven experience in building networks and relationships across teams and the wider business.
