Our client, a global media business, is looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join their team for a 12-month fixed-term contract, with a potential extension. This role combines core controllership responsibilities with ownership of overhead forecasting and budgeting. The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with relevant industry experience, able to quickly jump into a dynamic, hands-on role. Starting ASAP.
Description
The responsibilities of the Temporary Finance Manager include, but are not limited to:
- Oversee the forecasting and financial management of overhead costs.
- Provide support for monthly pacing submissions and monitor budgeted figures against actual performance across multiple entities.
- Prepare analytical reports and share clear, actionable insights with senior stakeholders to inform business decisions.
- Oversee the preparation and posting of quarterly tax provision estimates.
- Partner with the tax function to reconcile tax-related accounts and support compliance.
- Lead quarterly business review meetings with key stakeholders throughout the organisation.
- Develop, maintain, and oversee financial models, while leading critical aspects of the monthly and quarterly close processes, including payroll and accruals.
- Manage and lead statutory audits for multiple entities, ensuring compliance with UK GAAP statutory reporting requirements.
- Enhance financial model integration by automating workflows and improving efficiency.
Skills
The skills of the Temporary Financial Manager include, but are not limited to:
- Qualified accountant (ACA or equivalent) from Big 4 with at least 2-3 years’ post-qualified experience.
- Experience working with SAP is desirable.
- Experience working in media is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, evolving environment.
