Our client, an FCA regulated business, is looking for an ambitious Finance Associate to join their London team in a broad finance role. This is a great opportunity to work across a wide variety of financial operations as part of a dynamic team, reporting into the Head of Finance. The successful candidate will be actively studying towards an accounting qualification and available on one months notice or less.
Description
The responsibilities of the Finance Associate include, but are not limited to:
- Support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis processes.
- Assist with monthly reports.
- Support postings in the system, i.e. sales and purchase invoices.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and FCA requirements.
- Liaise with lenders, investors and any other stakeholders on relevant financial matters.
- Serve as a point of contact for ongoing finance transformation projects.
- Contribute to process improvements across finance, operations and reporting.
- Maintain accurate financial records and support audits.
- Any ad hoc tasks as required.
Skills
The skills of the Finance Associate include, but are not limited to:
- Part-qualified accountant, actively studying towards ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a finance function, preferably within financial services.
- Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting systems
- Experience with SAP or Business Central will be a distinct advantage.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills with strong attention to detail.
