Our client is a Venture Capital firm, evaluating and managing investments on behalf of a small group of high-net-worth individuals who have an appetite for investing in all segments of the global gaming and gambling industry. It provides intelligent capital, high-impact strategic direction and access to a mature industry network in order to create and accelerate long-term sustainable growth with its portfolio companies.
Description
The team has significant industry experience as operators, investors, and advisors in both online and land-based environments, ranging from private to public companies and from start-ups to mature businesses.
This role provides an excellent opportunity to understand and experience the nature of Venture Capital investing within a sector focus. Operating from a base in Central London, the company invests across all elements of the global gambling and gaming landscape, as well as opportunistically in the broader technology space. Hence, the role will provide an opportunity to better understand the trends and value drivers within these sectors. The role will cover analysis of deal flow, keeping track of relevant news and trends, as well as supporting wherever necessary on both new investments and management of the existing portfolio.
Skills
The successful candidate is likely to have gained significant experience in either an international accounting firm, financial services or consulting and will demonstrate strong technical and research skills along with an ability to analyse and draw conclusions from multiple data sources. You will be able to demonstrate enthusiasm for the sector and, ideally, a solid understanding of online/mobile e-business concepts in a highly entrepreneurial environment. This is a small team, so you will need to have the ability to work in an unstructured environment with a high degree of autonomy.
