Our client is a family office based in Munich. Due to natural growth, they are now seeking to hire a bilingual (German/ English) Finance Manager to support their operational finance function.

Responsibilities

In this Finance Manager & Payroll Specialist role, reporting to the Finance Director, you will be responsible for the operational accounting of our client’s Family Office, from supporting the investment and senior management teams with individual queries and documentation preparation, to financial accounting and preparation of financial statements, to payment and invoicing processes and the independent preparation of payroll.

In addition, you will act as the contact person for payroll-related HR matters, process expense claims, provide administrative support for contractual and insurance matters, and manage IT services as the internal first-level contact.

Skills

  • Experience in a comparable role within a Family Office / Multi-Family Office or in a tax advisory firm (other environments such as private equity, real estate, industrial/investment holding companies or venture capital are advantageous)

  • Technical knowledge and several years of practical experience in financial accounting and in the independent preparation of annual financial statements for GmbH and KG in accordance with HGB

  • Expert knowledge in end-to-end payroll accounting and a strong understanding of accounts receivable/payable processes, invoicing and payment processing

  • Management experience or experience in overseeing an external service provider as back-up (professional leadership/coordination)

  • Very good knowledge of MS Office

  • Fluent in English and German

  • Confident use of LucaNet

  • Relevant professional “toolkit” and routine in dealing with tax, legal and corporate law matters (with external support where required)
