Our client, an international professional services firm, is looking for an Assistant Financial Accountant to join their London team. You will be involved in all aspects relating to the preparation of financial statements and the annual audit. The successful candidate will be in the final stages of an accounting qualification and ideally have prior experience with WIP accounting.
Description
The responsibilities of the Assistant Financial Accountant include, but are not limited to:
- Prepare annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS or GAAP.
- Assist in the preparation of WIP files to support the Group consolidated financial statements.
- Main point of contact for audit and related requests.
- Work closely with all departments to collate information for the timely production of financial statements.
- Produce and record adjustment journals.
- Assist the wider finance team with any ad hoc duties.
Skills
The skills of the Assistant Financial Accountant include, but are not limited to:
- Part-qualified accountant, later stages of qualification / Finalist (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Strong Excel skills are essential, and experience with Power BI would be advantageous.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict reporting deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Ability to take initiative to work both independently and as part of a team.
