Reporting to the Finance Manager, this is an excellent opportunity to gain experience with a recognised industry leader. Requires an immediate start.

Our client is an established global private equity firm based in Central London. An opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Finance Associate to join the team on a 4-6 month contract. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this is an excellent opportunity to gain experience with a recognised industry leader. Requires an immediate start.

Description

The responsibilities of the Temporary Senior Finance Associate include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead an efficient month-end close process, including timely preparation of journals.
  • Prepare monthly management reporting packs, including variance analysis and commentary.
  • Support cash management through cash flow forecasting, funding requests, banking and treasury administration.
  • Maintain entity balance sheets through monthly reconciliations.
  • Assist with the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts and LTP’s.
  • Act as a finance business partner to key stakeholder across functions.
  • Ensure legal, tax and regulatory obligations are fulfilled for all entities.
  • Support regulatory capital monitoring and quarterly FCA reporting obligations.
  • Assist with transfer pricing documentation and intercompany recharges.
  • Drive continuous improvement across financial reporting processes.
  • Maintain effective internal controls.

Skills

The skills of the Temporary Senior Finance Associate include, but are not limited to:

  • Qualified accountant, ideally with a Big-4 background and a minimum of 4 years post-qualified experience.
  • Strong financial control background with demonstrable experience preparing financial statements end-to-end.
  • Excellent working knowledge of FRS 102.
  • Advanced Excel is essential and experience with Workday is desirable.
  • Previous experience in a regulated financial services or alternative investment environment required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Process improvement mindset and comfortable working with automation tools.
