We are partnering with an established infrastructure investment manager looking to appoint a Finance Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant looking to join a collaborative, high-performing team with broad exposure across finance, operations and fund management.
Description
Our client is a specialist investment management firm with a long-standing track record in managing infrastructure assets. They are looking to appoint a Finance Manager to oversee the fund accounting, financial control and compliance of a number of investment funds and related entities.
Reporting to the Finance Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for fund accounting, cash flow management, investor reporting, distribution calculations and working closely with external auditors, advisors and service providers. The role (which is primarily office based) will also support the wider finance function by strengthening financial controls, improving processes and assisting with a range of operational and ad hoc projects.
Skills
The skills and experience required for this Finance Manager role include, but are not limited to:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with at least 5 years PQE.
- Strong technical accounting and financial reporting experience.
- Experience in fund accounting, asset management or investment funds is advantageous but not essential.
- Ability to manage relationships with auditors, advisers and external service providers.
- Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Confident communicator with the ability to challenge appropriately and work collaboratively.
- Proactive, organised and comfortable working in a broad role with varied responsibilities.
- Experience with cash flow management, investor reporting and financial controls would be beneficial.
