COVID-19: An Update from Walker Hamill

These are unprecedented times, and COVID-19 has impacted not just the corporate environment, but all of our day-to-day lives as well. Walker Hamill faces a particular challenge, in that our business relies on people meeting each other and until this month, that invariably happened face-to-face. Suddenly, everything has changed.

In line with the rest of the country, Walker Hamill has had to adapt rapidly, and in particular, our internal Finance, IT & Support Teams have worked tirelessly to introduce and implement digital practices that allow us to continue to serve our clients and candidates.

Our entire team is now finishing its second week of working remotely, and we’ve rapidly become adept at the nuances of video conferencing and maintaining team cohesion and effectiveness, despite being scattered across Europe. While many of our mandates have understandably been put on hold for a few months, others continue and hence while our physical doors remain shut, we are very much ‘open for business as usual’.

We acknowledge that this is a difficult time for everyone, but to the extent that we can, we’re still here to help. Our team is committed to supporting all of those we serve, and we’d like to thank them for embracing these unexpected challenges and the energy with which they’ve applied themselves to remote working.
