Part Time Finance Director
Small Private Equity Firm
Our client are a long-established private equity manager with a successful track record, having raised and invested several funds. The lean team manages over €300 million in the European lower mid-market buy-out and growth segments. They are looking for a part-time Finance Director to join the team.
The firm has a low-ego and friendly culture. Back office activities are out-sourced and therefore, the appointee will supervise and provide oversight for these functions. The successful candidate will also be involved with supporting the firm’s investment function where appropriate.
- Oversight of audits and partnership tax matters
- Liaison and oversight of fund administrators
- Oversight and issuing of drawdowns and distributions
- Preparation of budgets and VAT returns
- All aspects of compliance, including regulatory returns
- Oversight of employee benefits, including payroll
- Assisting the investment team in researching the tax transparency of investments and, where necessary, creating and managing special purpose vehicles
The appointee must be a qualified accountant with either an ACA or ACCA (or equivalent). Successful candidates will have an excellent academic record with good verbal and written communication skills. You must be either an experienced financial or fund controller, from either another private equity firm or alternative assets fund.
