Their European Service Centre, based in Swords, Dublin employs approximately 900 people with over 29 different nationalities and is currently looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to lead the French Accounting team of 10.  This is a fantastic opportunity for a forward thinking, proactive individual to make a real impact on the future direction of the business. 

You will be a French speaker and will be responsible for the management and leadership of the team and all migrated accounting functions, ensuring a smooth transition with a view to continuous improvement and compliance in a fast paced changing environment. You will be tasked with providing a first class, efficient, focused finance team ensuring accuracy and control meeting reporting deadlines in support of country requirements.

More specifically, your responsibilities will include day-to-day financial expenditure approval in the form of A/P holds, employee expenses to ensure business costs are monitored and reviewed against agreed Business Plan, the preparation of monthly management accounts and variance analysis reports in line with the in-country Accounting Manager in order to provide accurate Financial reporting for management information in accordance with GAAP. You will prepare analysis and review all P&L accounts as part of the month end process and as requested by management to support cost analysis and review. 

In addition, you will be responsible for the completion of the country local GAAP Statutory Accounts with the support of the Finance Business Partner and play a key role in educating financial and non-financial management in financial matters, improving the general level of awareness of finance and accounting throughout the Company. The ideal candidate will be a graduate qualified accountant or the French equivalent (DCG, DSCG), be fluent in both French and English and have proven experience of managing a team in a corporate environment.  You will have French GAAP experience and a good working knowledge of Oracle / SAP, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.  Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate at all levels is essential as is a proactive and enthusiastic attitude to work and continued process improvements.
