Our client is a high-growth technology company that provides a variety of specialised services to customers primarily in the telecoms sector. The company is listed on AIM and continues to grow impressively through organic and inorganic strategies. They have operations across a variety of locations and a Head Office in central London.

Description

Due to internal movement, we are now searching for a new Group Financial Controller who will initially have two direct reports.  Reporting directly to the Group CFO, you will have full responsibility for end-to-end finance including the preparation of the Group’s monthly management accounts and Board pack, providing detailed commentary and analysis to facilitate informed decision-making.  You will prepare the Group’s financial statements for half year and full year external reporting, liaise with the auditors as required, and ensure that a clean and efficient audit is achieved.  In addition, you will assist the CFO in preparing the annual Budget, working closely with the business line heads; performing re-forecasts as required, and providing detailed explanations for changes made. You will take ownership for the Group Treasury function, including cash collection/credit control, and FX management and oversee accounting records to ensure that they are adequately maintained to meet regulatory and tax requirements.

Skills

The ideal candidate will be a graduate, qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent) with a high level of technical proficiency.  You will need strong attention to detail and have previous experience of working as a Financial Controller, or similar, ideally within an international business.  Excellent people management skills are key as is proven experience of hands-on leadership of finance teams that have contributed to the profitable growth of their businesses. You will need to possess a collaborative working style in order to build successful working relationships with all key stakeholders in addition to providing key strategic financial advice to management.  Strong systems skills including Sage, advanced Excel and track record of implementing robust processes and internal controls would be desirable.
