Our client is a FTSE 100 company based in Central London. The business provides innovative and bespoke solutions to their customers worldwide through a network of offices in more than 100 countries. The company has been highly acquisitive and performing very well across the various divisions of the group.
Description
As a result of internal promotion and a drive to add strength to the team, we are now seeking to recruit a Regional Controller reporting to the CFO for Europe and Central Asia. The purpose of this position will be to take responsibility for all financial control matters for the region ensuring compliance with the Group and taking ownership of the health and accuracy of the balance sheet, including areas of higher risk such as accrued income and intercompany. The regional controller will be the region’s key point of contact for Internal Audit and will identify best practice across the region and ensure continuous improvement. You will have responsibility for all statutory requirements of legal entities, including accounting, tax, and other legal requirements such as filing of statutory accounts will work closely with group tax and treasury to build and execute cash repatriation plans. The Regional Financial Controller will need to be low ego but possess the gravitas and credibility to have an impact across finance and the wider business.
Skills
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with a first-class academic background and a demonstrable track record of achievement to date. You will have experience either as a Senior Manager directly from an international accounting firm or be doing a technical finance role in a similar sized listed business with an international footprint. Possessing strong leadership and communications skills, you will be open minded and have a flexible attitude. In addition, you will have strong financial systems experience and excellent Excel skills, be highly analytical, and be able to bring structure and data analytics to the business. You should be considering this as your first step into a globally recognised leader in its field with a strong track record of internal promotion and career development.
