Description
A rare opportunity has been created to bring on board a Finance Director to oversee the group’s finance function. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role will lead the push to drive change and make the finance function more forward looking as opposed to historical. You will manage a large team across all technical finance, including operational finance, and will ensure the results are timely and accurate. Responsible for all management accounting, cash flow, and debt management, actively managing working capital and maintaining constant dialogue with the lenders will all be essential elements of this role. In addition to being the key contact for the banks, the Finance Director will investigate bank account governance, with the potential to take on key projects such as VAT restructuring. You will be an important business partner to the CFO, and an authoritative and inspirational leader to a significant team. You will also be tasked with bringing meaningful ideas to the senior leadership meetings and providing a value-add service to the wider business.
Skills
Candidates for this Finance Director position will need to be qualified accountants (ACA/CA or equivalent) with prior experience working in a leadership role either in a leveraged environment/business, or a listed plc. In addition, previous exposure and experience of working in a ‘multisite’ business would be ideal. Applicants will need to have a track record of strong team management, and ideally prior experience of working in a PE backed or privately owned company that has been through a successful exit or transaction.
