Financial Planning & Analysis Senior Manager/Director
Global Infrastructure Group
- Central London
- £110,000 - £150,000 base + bonus + benefits
Our client is a publicly listed international primary and secondary investor and active asset manager of huge infrastructure projects. The business’s core focus is on transport, social and environmental infrastructure projects that are typically awarded under public-private partnership (PPP) programmes. They also manage renewable energy projects across the globe and create value by originating and investing in new greenfield infrastructure projects. It is the Group’s unparalleled expertise and credentials that make it one of the world’s most trusted brands in its field.
A new Group CFO has been recently appointed and is seeking to bring about best practice in strategic planning, insightful information analysis and business forecasting activities. As such, we are searching for an outstanding FP&A professional who can build out and deliver a newly created ‘best in class’ FP&A capability.
In this role you will provide financial support to the PLC board and senior internal stakeholders by preparing presentations and relevant reports with analysis on the business’ annual budgets and forecasts, as well as supporting the Group CFO with the Group’s divestment strategy and any other ad hoc strategic analysis required. In addition you will need to be adept at building strong relationships and influencing stakeholders and teams whom are not in your direct control. This is a hands-on standalone position where you will ultimately lead on all strategic financial planning activities alongside the Group CFO, as well as ensure the delivery of regular and robust financial analysis to challenge business performance and ultimately assist the growth of the business.
The successful candidate will be a Finance professional with a first class academic background and a demonstrable track record of achievement to date. Intellectual horsepower is crucial, as is significant and relevant FP&A experience in an international business and a hands-on approach to execution. It is likely that you will be an ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified accountant, or even a corporate financier by background, but ultimately it is FP&A experience within an investment house, private equity fund, or highly regarded ‘blue chip’ corporate that will be key. You will have sound strategic planning skills combined with strong commercial acumen and be able to build robust working relationships within a business. The successful candidate will be confident and inquisitive, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally. Our client requires candidates who are conscientious with a hands-on attitude, and operate with a high level of energy and gravitas. Applicants must be excited by the pressures of creating a new function and should be considering this as a step into a globally recognised leader in its field with a keen interest for both personal and business development.
To apply for this role, please use the Apply button, or alternatively, email your CV to Claire Jefferies: firstname.lastname@example.org quoting reference CJ50647.
Please note that due to the expected volume of applications, we will only be able to respond to those candidates whose experience matches the requirements of our client. We are sorry, but if you have not heard from us within the next ten days, please assume you have been unsuccessful on this occasion.
