This is a newly created role following a finance transformation programme under the CFO, who recently joined the business. Reporting to the Group Commercial Finance Director, the Commercial Finance Manager will lead the development and delivery of analysis, forecasting, planning and budgeting for the Group. The role takes ownership of KPI reporting, along with responsibility for regular ad-hoc analysis and key dashboard reports for the private equity shareholder and for the Group CFO and the rest of the main board. The Commercial Finance Manager will challenge the financial results from the main business divisions, partnering with their respective CFOs to drive a range of projects, covering areas such as growth initiatives, efficiency improvements and commercial positioning.
Skills
The role requires a professional accounting qualification, along with a strong record of academic achievement. Proven experience in FP&A is advantageous, or the role might also suit a highly commercial individual searching for a move away from a public practice or advisory role. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, combined with a keen attention to detail and excellent communication skills, in order to successfully present complex information to the C-suite and non-finance management. The role will suit candidates who are proactive, curious, highly diligent and adaptable, and those who possess the time management skills required to balance and meet multiple deadlines. Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, including proficiency in financial modelling, are a prerequisite.
This is an exceptional opportunity to join a fast-growing, acquisitive PE-backed firm, with significant scope to grow in this role, as well as having the ability to direct and be involved in actionable change across the finance function.
