Description
As a well-funded, fast-paced Oxford University spin-out, working from state-of-the-art molecular biology labs and offices in Oxfordshire, the business has intentionally built a high-performing and collaborative team and is now looking to further augment the senior management team with the addition of a high-quality CFO. With responsibility for all aspects of finance including financial reporting, FP&A, support on additional fundraising and providing broader financial and commercial support, you will be joining a truly special environment where individuals are encouraged to take ownership, work with each other to solve problems in creative and pragmatic ways, and take action to get the right things done. The role also offers broader exposure to legal, tax and regulatory compliance both in the UK and internationally.
Skills
Applicants should be qualified accountants and ideally have prior experience managing finance within high growth companies, particularly through scale up stages. This would ideally include experience with equity fundraising, start-up company exits, and non-dilutive funding sources. Candidates should have a hands-on, creative problem-solving attitude as this is a role that will require you to flexibly apply yourself to unforeseen challenges as they arise. You should be genuinely excited about contributing to the growth of the business, be excited to work in a dynamic team environment, building relationships, and gaining trust from others through honesty, compassion, and authenticity. You should also have a passion for the sector and in working to solve one of the biggest problems facing the world.
