Chief People Officer – Part Time
Rapidly Growing SaaS Education Technology Business
Ref: DC53035
- Permanent
- Cambridge/London/Hybrid
- Flexible day rate
Our client is a privately-owned education technology business based in the south-east of England. The business is highly profitable and has experienced rapid growth since the pandemic. The company has now reached a stage where it requires a strategic Chief People Officer to help manage the continuing growth and help support the rest of the management team in delivering a best-in-class HCM function.
Description
The Chief People Officer is responsible for building teams and nurturing company culture in what is a fast-growing environment alongside managing and developing all people focussed aspects of the organisation.
The CPO will have responsibility for managing the people function of the company, acting as the top people strategist within the organisation and will be a member of the senior leadership team. The CPO will be required to support long term decision making, going beyond their role of leading the people-related aspects of the organisation.
As part of this role, the CPO will be expected to provide creative and insightful solutions to critical people issues and advise other members of the leadership team.
Skills
At the moment it is envisaged that this would be a 1 day a week role and would suit an HR specialist who is perhaps building a portfolio as part of their own consultancy. Ideally candidates will have gained experience in growth organisations, have experience of driving change and have significant exposure to influencing across all levels of an organisation. Additional experience in running successful talent acquisition exercises and developing staff retention programmes would be advantageous as would a dedication to diversity and ethics within an organisation. You should possess strong analytical and interpretation skills and be used to working with data and presenting findings at Board level.
The is very much a strategic role, helping with the development of a rounded HCM strategy and operating at Board level in an advisory capacity.
