Our client is an award winning publicly listed technology company with an enviable track record of achieving consistent organic growth and increasingly committed to pursuing acquisitions, both in the UK and to help further develop its European presence.

Description

In support of this strategy, they are now seeking to recruit a high-quality M&A/Investor Relations professional to work closely with the Director of Corporate Development on the evaluation and execution of acquisitions, other related transactions and help drive value creation. This highly visible role also partners with the CFO and Board of Directors and will play a critical role in helping the group capitalise on the most attractive inorganic opportunities, with responsibilities spanning all aspects of the M&A process. This will include origination, pipeline development and execution as well as the ongoing maintenance of the Group’s visibility with the advisory community.

The opportunity will also offer broader Investor Relations responsibilities in support of the CFO and CEO. This will include coordinating shareholder activity and working with the CEO and CFO on presentation and key messaging preparation. The successful candidate will work closely with sell-side analysts, maintain adviser relationships with PR consultants and brokers and include active management of the shareholder register.

Job responsibility will be equally split between M&A and Investor Relations.

Skills

The successful candidate will have a strong academic profile, potentially an ACA qualification and have prior experience gained with a leading international accountancy firm, investment bank, private equity fund and/or in corporate development in a fast-paced, high-growth, technology led business. Whilst a PLC, and a substantial business, the corporate culture remains highly entrepreneurial. You will be based in the London office but should expect some international travel as required. Strong communication skills are essential as you will be interacting with all levels across the Group, and you should be adaptable and able to switch from broader commercial/strategic issues to a more ‘hands-on” and operational role when required.

This is a high-profile opportunity to work for a highly profitable, growing, innovative and entrepreneurial company that is looking to embark on the next stage in its growth story.
