Description
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, the Group Head of Tax will be an integral part of the group’s ongoing success. The Tax function has historically had more of a compliance focus, but as the business continues to grow both domestically and across its international markets, it is looking to bring in more strategic capability whilst ensuring overall best practice. The role will require strong tax expertise across jurisdictions, proven management capabilities and a dynamic and positive personality. The role is a key leadership position, leading a Tax Manager and managing outsourced arrangements, and partnering closely with other Finance Department heads. The individual will be empowered to drive change and is expected to take ownership whilst fostering a collaborative culture.
Skills
The successful candidate should have a strong academic profile, including a formal accounting and/or tax qualification, with intellectual curiosity and ideally UK-listed company experience gained in an international company. You will need excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and operate a ‘no surprises’ culture, ideally gained within a fast-paced, technology-led organisation.
