International FTSE 250 PLC
Walker Hamill is partnering with a London-headquartered, international industrial group (FTSE 250) to appoint a Group FP&A Manager. With a global manufacturing footprint and market-leading positions in technically demanding sectors, the business combines strong operational capability with a clear strategy for profitable growth.
Description
Reporting to the Group Head of FP&A, this is a high-profile role at the centre of the Group Finance function, providing senior leadership and the Board with timely, insightful financial analysis and forward-looking performance reporting.
This position plays a key role in shaping and delivering the Group’s financial planning agenda, working closely with regional finance teams and senior stakeholders across the organisation. You will lead the coordination and consolidation of the annual budget and quarterly forecasting processes, preparing guidance and templates for business units, reviewing submissions and producing high-quality reporting for senior management and the Board.
The role also involves building and maintaining robust financial models to support scenario planning and strategic decision-making. You will be responsible for delivering clear and commercially focused management information, including performance dashboards and Board packs, alongside detailed variance analysis and insightful commentary. In addition, you will undertake ad hoc analysis across P&L, working capital, capital expenditure and cash flow to support business performance and operational decision-making.
A key element of the remit is driving continuous improvement across planning, reporting and analytical processes. You will leverage systems knowledge to enhance efficiency and best practice across the global finance function, support finance transformation initiatives including BI and forecasting tools, and ensure strong governance and documentation of core FP&A processes.
Skills
We are seeking a qualified accountant with approximately five or more years’ experience in Financial Planning & Analysis within a multinational environment. You will have strong financial modelling and analytical skills, combined with a solid understanding of budgeting and forecasting processes in a complex, multi-entity organisation.
You will be comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders, with the ability to translate financial data into clear, meaningful insight for non-finance audiences. A track record of driving process improvements and efficiency initiatives is important, as is the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver to tight deadlines. Advanced Excel skills are essential and experience with Power BI or other reporting systems would be advantageous. Experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment is beneficial but not essential.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a globally recognised, decentralised business with strong market positions and a clear growth strategy. The role offers meaningful exposure to senior leadership and Board-level reporting, the chance to contribute to ongoing finance transformation initiatives, and a broad, commercially focused remit within a complex international environment. It represents a strong platform for progression within a high-performing Group Finance function.
