The role will be responsible for the group's accounting operations across their international entities, ensuring they meet reporting standards whilst managing a small team. Description

The duties and responsibilities for this Interim Group Financial Controller role include, but are not limited to:
  • Lead all UK and global entity audits, from planning through to financial statement filing, while ensuring compliance with technical accounting requirements.
  • Oversee financial planning and reporting, including annual budgets, headcount, monthly results reviews, variance analysis, and board-level commentary.
  • Manage treasury operations covering cash flow forecasting, hedging, bank payments, and capital expenditure reporting.
  • Partner with internal teams on business decisions, support due diligence and integration, and enhance finance and operation systems.
  • Recruit, train, and manage the finance team, embedding robust financial policies, internal controls, and continuous process improvements.

Skills

The skills and experience required for this Interim Group Financial Controller role include, but are not limited to:
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with a minimum of 8 years PQE.
  • Previous Group experience in a large international professional services organisation.
  • Knowledge of IFRS is essential.
  • Experienced dealing with an international group with multicurrency exposure.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics365 or similar accounting software.
  • Strong leadership and inter-personal skills.
  • High attention to detail and written/verbal communication.
