AP/AR Assistant



£22,000 - £26,000 depending on experience

Walker Hamill are always on the look out for dedicated and experienced Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Assistants. Our clients include FTSE 100/250 Blue-Chip organisations as well as Private Equity backed small to medium (SME) sized businesses. We recruit across a broad range of sectors on a permanent, contract and temporary basis and are looking for candidates with the following experience:



  • Reconciling supplier statements to general ledger
  • Promptly dealing with all supplier queries over email and on the phone
  • Assisting with mid-month & month end payment runs and chasing payment approval
  • Tracking and processing expense claims
  • Preparation of month end balance sheet reconciliations
  • Manage petty cash transactions
  • Assist with month end deadlines
  • Raising invoices and ensuring customers meet payment terms
  • Matching, batching and coding high volumes of invoices 


  • Educated to degree level or AAT qualified  
  • 12 months experience with accounts payable and/or accounts receivable duties
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Experience working and communicating within a team
  • Previous experience working within a fast paced environment amd working to tight deadlines
