Description
We are currently seeking a Group Reporting Manager, to play a pivotal role within the Group’s Finance Department, as the business continues to continuously improve its financial reporting and controls.
This role is accountable for the accurate and timely delivery of the Group’s statutory and consolidated financial statements, including IFRS reporting for the listed entity. You will own the Group audit and lead the relationship with the external auditors, acting as a key point of contact and supporting all internal and external audit activity.
You will oversee statutory reporting across the Group, develop and implement accounting policies, and ensure a robust internal control environment is maintained. You will help to identify and resolve complex accounting issues and produce high-quality technical papers on key judgement areas, including consolidation, goodwill & impairment, going concern and viability.
This role will have ownership of the Group balance sheet reconciliation and financial close analysis, providing clear insight to senior leadership. Building strong relationships with divisional finance teams, FP&A, Tax, Treasury and Company Secretariat will be key. The role requires a proactive, technically focused finance leader who stays ahead of regulatory and accounting developments and drives high standards across Group reporting.
Skills
The successful candidate will have a strong analytical capability, with the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends and resolve complex accounting issues. They will have the technical expertise to manage group consolidations and possess a detailed understanding of accounting standards, financial regulation and best practice.
Candidates will need to be highly proficient in Excel with strong data manipulation skills, comfortable working with financial systems and ERP environments, and able to manage multiple priorities to demanding deadlines. Detail-focused and proactive by nature, you will combine accuracy with commercial awareness, aligning financial insight to business objectives. Strong communication and presentation skills are essential, enabling you to clearly explain technical accounting matters to both finance and non-finance stakeholders while working effectively both independently and as part of a wider team.
Candidates must be qualified accountants with post qualification experience in a financial reporting, or related role, with a strong understanding of accounting standards and regulations. Prior experience of working in a listed and/or regulated environment will be highly advantageous.
