Description

The Transaction Support team sits between the investment and fund finance team and plays a key role in providing operational support to investment portfolio companies, managing day-to-day accounting and tax processes for UK and US-based holding structures while assisting with deal closings, bolt-on acquisitions and portfolio exits. The team works with a number of stakeholders, including board members, management teams, investors and external advisors.

The duties and responsibilities for this Financial Accountant role include but are not limited to:

Reporting into an experienced Director, this is an incredibly close-knit and agile team which has a flat structure and ample amount of opportunity to learn and get involved with work and business partnering at all levels. It will be an excellent training ground for a candidate’s first move into the industry, given the firm’s commanding position in the space, the scope of the role, and an internal focus on development.

Skills

The skills and experience required for this Financial Accountant role include but are not limited to:

  • Educated to degree level, minimum 2:1.
  • ACA/ACCA qualified with at least 3 years experience working in an accountancy practice firm.
  • Understanding and interest in private equity fund model/structures.
  • Desire and ability to work across all levels of responsibility, with a ‘no task too small’ attitude.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and work towards tight deadlines with the capability to explain and assist in complex financial concepts to internal stakeholders.
