
Private Equity
Our client is a pan-European Private Equity firm specialising in sector agnostic, mid-market investments. Due to an internal transfer, they are looking to hire a new Head of Fund Finance to the team.
Description
The appointee will take ownership of multiple funds, including their latest flagship fund raise, which closed above target and was oversubscribed, and will be their most complex and ambitious fund yet. This role will be to manage and review the output from an established and experienced team, and will play a big part in mentoring and developing them as the firm continues to enact it’s long-term growth plans.
The firm is well capitalised, stable, and benefits from a loyal investor base, and as such as the team is collaborative, established and has enjoyed a good tenure with several long-standing members of the team.
Responsibilities

Review fund financial statements and investor reports prepared by external accountants.

Oversee reconciliations between Funds and SPVs; coordinate on management fee calculations.
- Manage and mentor junior team members, ensuring high-quality output and professional development.

Ensure compliance with relevant GAAPs (UK, US) and IFRS.

Review fund transactions, capital calls, and distribution notices in Investran.

Manage investor communications, due diligence, and side letter provisions; maintain the investor reporting system.

Liaise with tax advisors on US and international tax reporting and support other jurisdictional tax filings.

Monitor fund liquidity and cash forecasting; manage Money Market Fund transactions.

Manage the relationship with service providers such as fund administrators, auditors, legal, and tax advisors.

Support internal teams (Legal, Valuations, Capital Solutions) on cross-functional matters.

Contribute to system enhancements and process improvements as needed.
Skills
- Degree educated to Bachelor level with a minimum 2:1
- Accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA or equivalent).
- 5- 8 years post-qualification experience within a relevant finance team.
- Team management experience would be advantageous.
- Exposure and familiarisation with accounting software (FIS Investran) advantageous.
- Knowledge or background in financial services and previously worked on closed ended Funds (preferably Private Equity).
- Operates in an organised and structured manner with attention to detail.
