A high-profile opportunity has arisen with a leading private equity backed wealth management firm, recognised for its successful record of strategic growth and M&A activity. Our client is now looking for a Head of Financial Due Diligence to join their London office, reporting directly to the Chief Acquisitions Officer. This pivotal role will see you playing an integral role in managing transactions for a business that has completed over one hundred acquisitions to date. The role will also gain significant exposure to any capital event when the existing shareholders look to refinance or exit their investment.
Key Responsibilities

Financial Modelling: Partner with the deal origination team to build initial valuation models for new investments, ensuring alignment with commercial and strategic objectives. Communicate key findings clearly to stakeholders, refining assumptions throughout the deal lifecycle.

Due Diligence: Lead comprehensive financial due diligence, focusing on historical performance, cash flow, and working capital analysis. Develop and maintain robust due diligence frameworks to ensure consistency and excellence across transactions.

Transaction Execution: Manage transaction timelines, workstreams, and ensure completion conditions are met. Lead the financial structuring of deals, including purchase price mechanisms and earn-out arrangements, while liaising with cross-functional teams.

Performance Monitoring: Develop performance monitoring frameworks and conduct financial health checks on acquisition targets. Track key financial metrics to inform decision-making.

Strategic Contribution: Play a key role in shaping M&A strategy and target identification, while continuously improving the due diligence process and tools. Support post-acquisition integration where necessary.
Essential Skills & Experience

ACA/ACCA/CA or equivalent professional qualification.

Strong financial modelling skills with an impeccable attention to detail.

Proven experience in transaction execution and due diligence processes.

Exceptional project management skills, able to manage multiple complex workstreams simultaneously.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience presenting to senior executives and boards.

Experience working with C-suite and leading financial transactions.
Desirable Experience

Exposure to wealth management or professional services sectors.

Experience in aligning M&A activity with long-term strategic objectives.

Familiarity with post-acquisition integration processes.
