Our client specialises in investing in mid-cap UK headquartered companies. Their strategy is to invest in situations where some complexity exists and where they can affect strategic and operational change in order to unlock the potential for improvement. This strategy has served them well since the firm's inception in the 1990s and has resulted in them being one of the leading investors in UK private equity. Their sizeable portfolio and volume of investment opportunities has resulted in the need to hire two talented individuals to join the investment team.
Description
As a member of the investment team you will be involved in all aspects of the private equity process, including the following:
- origination and analysis of potential investment opportunities;
- deal execution;
- significant involvement in portfolio strategy and management, including bolt-on acquisitions and exit processes.
The investment team is close-knit and you will join a collaborative group, which offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience in private equity investing. Skills
Candidates are likely to have gained experience in a financially orientated discipline, such as the transaction team within one of the professional services firms, or the M&A team in a mid-market boutique or investment bank. A professional qualification, such as ACA or CFA (or equivalent) is an advantage, but not a requirement.
In all cases, candidates must be able to point to a track record of high academic and professional achievement.
