Walker Hamill is delighted to be partnering with a high-growth, private equity-backed technology and services business in the search for an FP&A Manager. Backed by a prominent US private equity investor, the business is entering an exciting phase of organic and inorganic growth, AI transformation and value creation.
Description
Reporting to the Senior FP&A Manager, this role offers exposure to senior leadership and investors, placing the successful candidate at the centre of strategic decision-making. The position will play a critical role in supporting the group’s financial planning and analysis activities while helping to shape the future direction of a scalable, AI and data driven finance function. The business is actively investing in AI-enabled finance processes and is seeking an individual who is genuinely enthusiastic about leveraging technology to improve efficiency and enhance business insight.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and owning key aspects of budgeting, forecasting and delivering meaningful insight through variance analysis, scenario planning and performance reporting. They will act as data lead within the FP&A team helping to deliver accurate and automated data across the function.
They will also be working closely with commercial and operational stakeholders, acting as a trusted business partner, helping to drive decision-making, evaluate investment opportunities and support ongoing business performance initiatives.
Skills
The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant, preferably ACA, with previous experience in FP&A, commercial finance or management accounting within a complex and fast-paced organisation. Strong financial modelling capabilities are essential, and candidates should be comfortable working with modern data platforms and possess experience writing and interpreting SQL queries to extract and validate business information. The candidate should have experience and curiosity in developing finance related AI skills/agents (preferably in Claude).
