Our client is a dynamic, fast-growing, global events and entertainment business, backed by private equity investment. With a strong presence across Europe and Australia, their head office is based in London, with continuous expansion and acquisition a major part of their growth, they also put customer experience at the forefront of what they do. The team are currently seeking an FP&A Associate (or Analyst, depending on experience) to support the finance function through value-added commercial duties as well as taking on a wide variety of ad hoc projects and responsibilities to drive their continued growth.
Description
You will be responsible for supporting the finance team improving commercial dashboards, budget packs, analysis, and forecasting. You will also have specific duties, including implementing new software and consolidating marketing packs across the group. In addition to the day-to-day responsibilities, you will be expected to get involved in various ad hoc projects as they arise, this part of the role is invaluable to the wider business, with the team working on multiple projects simultaneously. This role will be the main point of contact between two international business units (BUs). This requires regular business partnering of the BUs finance team, professionalising their functions and making sure their processes are aligned with the Head Office framework, to ensure cohesion across the business and wider group.
Skills
Candidates will need to be qualified accountant (ACA/CA or equivalent) with post qualification experience, gained either at one of the Big 4 accountancy firms or within a commercial finance role in industry. Strong academics are desirable along with foreign language skills, particularly German or Dutch. Candidates must have the ability to work in a small team as well as independently, with a strong commitment to seeing work through to completion. The ideal candidate will have the gravitas needed to regularly interact with senior management and other stakeholders across the business, being able to effectively communicate information to non-finance personnel. The dynamic nature of the business requires flexibility in taking on new work, prioritisation, and timely execution of tasks. It demands a self-starter who can hit the ground running.
