High-Growth, Private Equity-Backed International Group
A high-growth, private equity-backed international group is seeking a high-quality Group Treasurer to join its senior finance leadership team.
Description
Reporting to the CFO, this is a treasury leadership role with broad responsibility for shaping and delivering the Group’s treasury strategy as the organisation continues its ambitious growth trajectory.
The successful candidate will take ownership of group-wide treasury, liquidity, and cash management, while developing banking relationships, funding arrangements, working capital disciplines, interest rate risk management, and treasury governance. This is an opportunity to build and embed a best-in-class treasury function within a complex, acquisitive and rapidly scaling environment.
The Group is highly acquisitive and currently operates across the UK, US and Europe, with more than 2,500 employees. With a highly supportive, market-leading private equity fund, the company is performing well ahead of its original business plan and is confident in continued outperformance in the coming years.
Responsibilities
The key responsibilities for this Group Treasurer role include:
- Develop and implement the Group’s treasury strategy, policies and operating framework.
- Lead global cash, liquidity and working capital management.
- Manage and develop relationships with banking and other financial institutions.
- Oversee funding compliance, financing arrangements and covenant requirements.
- Manage interest-rate and associated financial risks.
- Establish robust treasury governance, controls, processes and reporting.
- Lead treasury-related projects, including the development of infrastructure, systems and processes required to support significant future growth.
- Partner closely with the CFO, Board and wider executive team on strategic and operational treasury matters.
- Ensure the treasury function remains scalable, commercially focused and aligned with the Group’s broader growth strategy.
We are looking for a senior treasury professional with excellent communication skills, genuine pace and who combines technical expertise with commercial judgement and delivery capability. It will be a stand-alone role initially and may well suit a No2 seeking their first Group Treasurer appointment.
Skills
Applicants for this Group Treasurer role should possess:
- Significant senior treasury leadership experience, including a strong track record in operational delivery and potentially greenfield treasury projects.
- The confidence and credibility to operate effectively with Boards, investors and executive stakeholders.
- An ACT qualification or equivalent professional treasury credentials.
- Experience managing complex, international and multi-currency treasury environments.
- A pragmatic, structured and highly delivery-focused approach.
- Strong influencing skills and the ability to build trusted relationships across an organisation.
- Resilience, composure and sound judgement in a fast-moving environment.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex treasury matters into clear commercial decisions.
This is a rare opportunity to join a business at a pivotal stage of its development and to have genuine influence over how its treasury capability evolves.
The role will suit an ambitious treasury leader who enjoys building rather than simply maintaining, is comfortable operating at pace and wants to play a central role in supporting an organisation through substantial international and acquisitive growth.
The culture is entrepreneurial and collaborative, combining the energy and intimacy of a group of high-quality businesses with the scale, ambition and backing of a larger organisation.
