Our client is a professionalised family office, investing across a broad mix of businesses and financial investments across different asset classes, including private equity, real estate, and other money market instruments. They own some of the most well-known assets in the luxury food and retail space, as well as investments in both public and private markets. We are seeking an Investment Associate to join the small team based in London.
Description
Working as part of a small set up, your role will be varied and responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing the investment strategy.
- Modelling investment returns.
- Involvement in transaction execution including co-ordination of due diligence.
- Measuring and managing investment performance.
- Drafting of investment memos and Board papers.
- Attending board meetings and working closely with management teams.
Skills
Suitable candidates are likely to have gained initial experience in the M&A team of a leading investment bank, or the corporate finance team of a professional services firm/independent advisor. Experience within a private office or endowment would also be relevant. Candidates must have strong academics as well as advanced Excel modelling expertise. Due to the small team, you must also have a desire to work in a collaborative, team orientated environment.
