Our client is a fast-growing global company based in the City. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the successful individual will be responsible for the month-end process for all the offices. The role will be based in the office 2 days a week, 3 from home, and also offers study support.


  • Assisting in the timely close of daybooks.
  • Global bank reconciliations.
  • Raising and posting month-end journals.
  • Reconciling and having a full understanding of balance sheet accounts.
  • Closing month-end and assisting in the group consolidation.
  • Assisting in preparing monthly temp margin reports for London & Australia.
  • Involvement in year-end audit in terms of liaison with auditors.
  • Some FP&A analysis involvement.
  • Providing cover for accounts payable as necessary.
  • Assisting the Senior Management Accountant, Financial Controller & Finance Director when required.
  • Other ad-hoc duties.


  • Previous experience working in a similar role, posting journals, and reconciling balance sheets.
  • Good knowledge of Excel and Microsoft office.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Jet Reporting is advantageous.
  • A high level of attention to detail and accuracy of data input is imperative.
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Keen to learn and take on new instructions in order to develop a skillset.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels, both internally and externally.
  • Ability to manage workload and prioritise work.
  • A strong numerical and detail-orientated skillset is essential.
