Group Corporate Finance Executive
Confidential - Technology
- Central London
Our client is an international Technology group operating in more than 50 countries across North America, Latin America, Europe, Africa, Middle East and Asia-Pacific. Through three core divisions, the Group offers distribution, integration/managed services and consulting services to it’s clients. It is a highly profitable, $4.3bn business and employs around 8,000 around the globe.
The London office provides strategic planning, corporate finance, financial control, standard setting and support services to the divisional structure around the world. The Corporate Finance and Strategy Team works with business units to evaluate and coordinate potential acquisitions, disposals and business development opportunities.
We are now looking to recruit an Executive to work with the Corporate Finance & Strategy Director to execute the Group’s strategy to grow its business through acquisitions. This is a highly visible and dynamic role with the opportunity to add real value. Specifically, the role will involve due diligence reviews of potential acquisition targets, the appraisal of business proposals and opportunities, day-to-day organisation and management of the M&A process, and contribution to the strategic planning process and annual planning cycle. It is important this individual keeps abreast of market developments and the competitive landscape to support the decision making process.
To be successful in this role will require you to be highly inquisitive and challenging, be a self-starter and someone who enjoys the freedom to use their initiative. Strong analytical skills are a pre-requisite, as are first class communication skills as you will be expected to work just as closely with divisional management as you do with the senior leadership team. An Accounting qualification would be a distinct advantage, but is not essential. Ideally you will be able to demonstrate a successful track record in a similar role (including due diligence reviews) within a corporate or a corporate finance team of an accounting firm or investment bank.
