EMEA Financial Controller

Our client is a globally recognisable brand and a world leader in its field. Founded over 100 years ago, the group now boasts revenue approaching $20bn with operations in 70 countries. It has consistently appeared in ‘most admired company’ lists by adopting a model combining local market insight, broad services, specialized expertise and premier tools and resources.
The company is now seeking to recruit an exceptional individual who will be responsible for building and developing a world class regional accounting function, based in Switzerland. This will include the preparation of financial and management reports and procedures, and the presentation of findings and specific recommendations to senior management.
The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate a passion for business and possess a willingness to step out of their comfort zone in what is a highly demanding environment. It is also important to ensure that the correct processes and controls are in place in order to help the business achieve its goals. Essential characteristics for the role include a willingness to take on a broader role, with strong project management skills and an ability to provide financial business partnering to the other members of the senior management team. Candidates should be able to demonstrate commercial acumen, flexibility and the self-assurance to take responsibility and ‘get things done’.
You are likely to be a qualified accountant, or equivalent, with a track record gained in broader financial management, ideally within a complex matrix structured, US listed environment. You should have enjoyed a successful career to date and have the drive and energy required to build and lead a new team. You might be in a similar corporate environment looking for a step up or we would also be interested to speak to candidates at a senior level within an international accountancy firm.
