Description

Reporting to the Deputy Group CFO, the Global Lead, Statutory Accounting will be the key contact and have full responsibility for leading the newly formed Centre of Excellence (COE) for Global Statutory reporting. Given the increased regulatory changes with external audits, you will have responsibility for implementing rigorous processes across numerous legal entities and have full accountability for Global Statutory reporting across the group. As leader of the COE you will initially work alone, but at the senior exec level with a view to building a small and highly capable team to support the development and execution of key Statutory Reporting initiatives and the subsequent transformation to a more centralised Statutory Reporting function.

Skills

The successful candidate is likely to be at Director Level within a Big 4 accounting firm with strong Audit and / or Statutory Reporting experience and ideally, more latterly, experience of working in a matrix environment within a ‘Blue Chip’ corporate that has gone through significant change and transformation. You should be able to demonstrate the ability to work independently to drive change and methodology development, as well as being a strong team player. It is essential that you are a natural networker and relationship builder who can forge connections within the broader organisation, particularly with key contacts responsible for Statutory Reporting across the globe.
