Description
Finance is currently outsourced, but the business is now of a size that requires it to be brought in-house. We are looking for an experienced finance professional to work with their outsourced partner to deliver that project as the first finance hire into the business and support its current and future growth. You will be responsible for ensuring that the financial processes, systems, and controls are operating effectively and efficiently to allow for accurate preparation of management accounts, VAT returns, regulatory filings, statutory accounts, tax returns, forecasts and budgets.
Skills
The successful candidate for this Financial Controller/Finance Director role will be a qualified accountant, ideally with experience gained in a professional services or advisory business, although other backgrounds will also be considered. You should be hands-on and bring an ‘ownership’ attitude. Integrity is essential as you will be party to confidential information. You will have strong technical skills, including tax, and first-class communication skills as you will be liaising across all levels in the business.
