Walker Hamill is partnering on an exclusive basis with a high-growth, private equity-backed international business to appoint a Group Financial Reporting Manager. This is a pivotal role within a scaling organisation with ambitious plans to accelerate growth through both organic expansion and strategic acquisitions.
Description
Reporting directly to the Finance Director, the successful candidate will take ownership of the Group’s month-end and year-end reporting processes, ensuring the timely and accurate consolidation of multiple entities in accordance with FRS 102. The role sits at the heart of the finance function and will play a critical part in delivering high-quality reporting to investors, lenders and senior stakeholders across the business.
You will oversee the preparation and presentation of monthly consolidated results to the CFO, FP&A Director and Finance Director, providing clear insight into financial performance. Alongside core reporting responsibilities, you will implement and enhance a robust balance sheet reconciliation framework, leveraging AI and technology tools to drive accuracy, efficiency and control. The position offers significant scope to improve and document end-to-end processes, strengthening accounting policies and embedding best-in-class financial governance across the Group.
The role will also support the UK Group and statutory audit process, responding to audit queries and ensuring a smooth year-end cycle. You will work closely with FP&A to deliver meaningful, decision-support analysis for senior directors, with regular exposure to ad hoc strategic projects and analysis for the CFO and senior finance team.
Skills
We are seeking a technically strong, qualified accountant with experience in group consolidation within a complex, multi-entity environment. Prior exposure to private equity-backed businesses, evolving group structures and change-driven environments will be advantageous. The successful candidate will combine strong technical expertise with a proactive mindset, confidence in dealing with senior stakeholders and a genuine enthusiasm for process improvement and technology-enabled transformation.
