Our client, an award-winning media group is seeking an Accounts Payable and Expenses Assistant to join the Finance team on a six month contract. Reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager, the successful candidate will have experience working within the AP function of a large organisation and the ability to process high volume invoices, complete the payment run process, and assist with any further queries.

Description

  • Resolve supplier invoice queries from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Receive and record invoices from suppliers.
  • Obtain receipts or other verification when accounts are paid.
  • Process invoices and attach that information to the relative project or department for job costing and financial statement purposes.
  • Reconcile supplier statements.
  • Ensure invoices are approved in time to meet established payment cycle.
  • Remit payments on invoices as directed by the Accounts Payable Manager.
  • Work in accordance with the payment process outlined by the Accounts Payable Manager.

Skills

  • Knowledge of accounts payable principles.
  • Ability to adapt to new systems and processes quickly and grasp an understanding of the methodology.
  • Strong experience in ERP systems, ideally Agresso.
  • Ability to work to pre-determined deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills with a personable approach and a can-do, positive attitude.
