Description

The duties and responsibilities for this Interim Finance Director role include, but are not limited to:

  • Ownership of monthly management accounts for the division.
  • Ensure robust financial control, accounting accuracy, and compliance with internal reporting standards.
  • Drive improvements in reporting timeliness, automation, and insight quality.
  • Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly reforecasting processes for the division.
  • Translate business drivers into clear, data-backed financial plans. Working closely with the funds team to understand, analyse and model the fund valuation models and forecasts into business plans.
  • Develop scenario models and sensitivity analyses to support strategic decision-making.
  • Present clear, insightful financial commentary to senior management and investment leadership.
  • Establish a culture of continuous improvement and process excellence within the finance team.
  • Manage and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering ownership and technical excellence.
  • Promote collaboration with Group Finance, HR, tax, and investment teams.

Skills

The skills and experience required for this Interim Finance Director role include, but are not limited to:

  • Qualified Accountant (ideally Big 4 audit trained) with relevant post-qualified experience.
  • Expertise in process review and improvement.
  • Strong background in budgeting and forecasting.
  • Experience of working in a large corporate group and managing numerous stakeholders.
  • Previous team management experience is essential.
  • Enjoys adding value through process improvement.
  • Strong attention to detail and an excellent work ethic.
