Venture Capital
Our client, a leading venture capital firm based in central London are looking for a Fund Accountant to join their finance team. Reporting into the Head of Funds Finance, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the bookkeeping, quarterly and annual reporting, and operations for 4 funds. This role is to start early January 2026 and whilst initially 6 months, could lead to something permanent.
Description
The duties and responsibilities for this Fund Accountant role include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible for the full bookkeeping and operations of 4 funds.
- Prepare the year-end audit and quarterly reporting.
- Prepare wires for investment, expenses and distributions.
- Manage fund flows, capital calls, distributions and fee/carry mechanics.
- Prepare fund metrics for the General Partners.
- Handle cash reconciliations, monthly and quarterly closes.
- Review annual Luxembourg tax compliance (VAT, tax return) project work.
- Support annual US tax compliance (K-1, PFIC / CFC and BEA) project work.
- Support with annual FATCA / CRS regulatory tax compliance project work.
Skills
The skills and experience required for this Fund Accountant role include, but are not limited to:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with relevant experience in fund accounting.
- Experience working in Private Equity or Venture Capital is desirable.
- Excellent communicator, experience of working with third parties.
- Strong attention to detail.
