Our client is a leading, European mid-market private equity firm. It has several billion Euros in Assets Under Management and is a well-established, successful firm with an excellent track record. They are currently raising a large new fund and growing the finance team as part of a drive to strengthen the firm's infrastructure and operational support.
Description
This is a broad role which will give the appointee a very good perspective of the management company side of a private equity firm. The role will directly support an experienced Financial Controller as part of a small team. Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Complete ownership in the preparation of all Corporate Management Accounts
- Assisting in preparing quarterly VAT returns
- Statutory reporting
- Maintenance of staff benefit arrangements for employees (pension, dental, optical, health insurance)
- Maintenance of statutory books for Group entities
- Investor drawdowns and distribution
- Assisting with fund flows on investments and divestments
- Bank account reconciliations
Skills
The ideal candidate will be a recently qualified ACCA or CIMA, who has gained hands-on experience training within an in-house finance team. A recently qualified ACA from a small-to-medium sized practice firm, with accounts preparation experience, could also prove to be a good fit for this.
