Headquartered in London, our client is a private, long-term holding company with operations in the United States and Europe. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious accountant with 3-4 years of relevant post-qualified experience to join their finance team.
Description
Our client is a long-term investment and holding company with over £2bn AUM. They are looking for a qualified accountant with c. 3-4 years post-qualified experience in the private equity, venture capital, or asset management industries to join their team as a Finance Manager in a technical role. You will report to the Group Financial Controller and be a critical hire in support of the client’s continued growth and development of their finance function. Your responsibilities will cover maintaining full accounting records according to IFRS, developing and maintaining internal controls, leading process improvement, supporting the year-end audit process, and participating in the accounting month-end and year-end close processes. You will also liaise with service providers to meet local and international regulatory and tax compliance needs.
Skills
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ CA/ ACCA/ CIMA or equivalent) with at least 3 years post-qualified experience. You will need a strong technical knowledge of IFRS, UK GAAP, and US GAAP and good experience in the private equity or broader asset management industry. Group consolidation experience (or experience of auditing group companies) is essential, and good working knowledge of tax regulations is preferred. The successful candidate will have strong organisational, analytical, and communication skills.
